Advice & Tips for Nurse Practitioners | Tuesday Tips

Hey Guys! As you can imagine, I have received many questions about Diabetes Education and Diabetes Management. Because my desire is to help nurse practitioners increase their confidence and efficiency as they manage their patients with diabetes, I try to answer as many questions as I possibly can. One thing that I noticed is that I tend to get similar questions and even at times the exact same question. Now if you have followed me for any amount of time you know that I have my YouTube channel that I go into detail about various diabetes topics. I also provide the NP Diabetes Starter Pack, which is a free resource bundle for nurse practitioners that manage diabetes. It’s filled with downloadable and printables guides and cheat sheets. And lastly, this year I began offering online courses, one of which is currently available, The Diabetes Med Bootcamp. Even with this, I still thought it would be good to answer questions that would just need a quick answer so I started a segment called TUESDAY TIPS.

Tuesday Tips: What Is It?

About a month ago, I started going LIVE on my Instagram account on Tuesdays. I answer a question that I have received from email, social media, or YouTube and like I mentioned above, these are quick answers because honestly…every question doesn’t need a long drawn out answer. Some are just straight forward and to the point so I thought this would be a more appropriate platform than a YouTube video or course.

One other thing about the questions is that they are more focused questions. What I have done (and will continue to do) is give a bit of background on the topic at hand to lay a foundation and then go into answering the question.

Tuesday Tips: When Is It?

Well, for starters, on Tuesday! Now the time, I’ll have to be honest…will vary. The reason is, I am a full time working nurse practitioner, I’m a wife and a mom. My schedule will vary so when I get a moment of silence, I sit down and press record. Also, I realize that you all are busy clinicians as well so here’s where you can find the TUESDAY TIPS…

Tuesday Tips: Where Can You Find It?

  • IG LIVE

If you are on Instagram, make sure you are following me @thediabetesnp and turn on your notifications for my profile. By doing this, you will be alerted when I go LIVE and you can hop right on in.

  • IGTV

After the LIVE concludes, I save it to my IGTV Series: TUESDAY TIP. Again, by following me there you will be able to see when I make updates.

  • YOUTUBE

Because I know everyone doesn’t do Instagram, I want to make it available on my YouTube Channel, Kim E. The Diabetes NP. On my channel, I’ve created a playlist so you will have easy access to all of the videos. See below for the TUESDAY TIP PLAYLIST.

  • FACEBOOK

If you didn’t know, I have a Facebook group. Again, most people have a preference when it comes to social platforms and I want to make sure that I offer a variety of ways to access any of my content. You can join my group >HERE< if you would rather view from Facebook.

Alrighty guys! One last thing…if you would like to submit a question to be answered, click the link below and fill out the QUICK form!
